This drawing is inspired by a photogragh taken from our campsite on the banks of the Darling River, NSW (Kinchega Natonal Park) in 2010.
I created the pastel on black paper - it measures 74 x 55 cm.
After working on a small scale it is refreshing to create larger pieces.

This is a detail of the work - one of my favourite places.
I have used pastel to try and recapture some of the beautiful colours at sunset and have also enjoyed interpreting the flowing linear patterns of the tree branches.

This piece would be approx 74cm x 30cm.
