Picture
This drawing is inspired by a photogragh taken from our campsite on the banks of the Darling River, NSW (Kinchega Natonal Park) in 2010.
I created the pastel on  black paper - it measures 74 x 55 cm.
After working on a small scale it is refreshing to create larger pieces.

This is a detail of the work - one of my favourite places.
I have used pastel to try and recapture some of the beautiful colours at sunset and have also enjoyed interpreting the flowing linear patterns of the tree branches.

Sydney Park Hill Top - work in progress 10th April.
In order to finish this I need to make a trip to the art supplies store - having run out of my light colourd pastels !
This piece would be approx 74cm x 30cm.

Another pastel - this is looking east over Redfern train tracks - still a oong way to. I took the photograph at Eveleigh Markets in 2013.
