New Studio
My new studio is situated at 6 Sloane Street, Marrickville a few minutes walk from Sydenham station and just off Sydenham Road.
We are joining Camilla Lawson at her Mess with it Project Space.

Move back to Marrickville
Sadly the studio that I have inhabited for the last year and a half in Newtown is being knocked down for more units. Fortunately there are some great spaces close by in Marrickville - so I will be moving mid October.
Making most of a small space - very close to home, vertical drying system works well for small prints !
Solo show for late June
I just found out I have a date to show my latest works at the lovely Sheffer Gallery in Darlington, will keep you posted but the opening will probably be Tues 25th of June 6 - 8pm.

Balancing teaching and art making
I have a new job as a specialist art teacher at Erskineville Public School where I get to work with great kids 2 days a week making art - this leaves me in a position to spend the rest of my time at the studio.

The MOST Open studio trail went really well this week end - we met lots of enthusiastic visitors in our studio.
I laid all my cuisenaire works out on some makeshift shelving and even sold one ( like saying goodbye to a new friend !)

I have had another productive time in the studio working on my Cuisenaire pieces + today Nancy and Ross came and filmed me again - this time I have shown how I create a linocut from the beginning.
I have revisited a lovely eucalypt flower that I photographed last year just around the corner from where I live, I had already done a pastel drawing of it but thought a print would work well too.
The video will be up on youtube soon, here is a quick snap of the lino, the original photo + the proofed print form today in the studio.

MOST Open studio trail is coming up soon in March (Sat 9th and Sun 10th). Our studio Liu Balboa will be opening it's doors !
