Flour Mills Summer Hill, unframed linoprint 2020
This unique print of The Flour Mills at Summer Hill was produced in 2020.
"Originally constructed by Mungo Scott flour millers in the early 1920s, the famous Flour Mill of Summer Hill was a fully operational milling and storage facility. The site was originally chosen for its strategic location along the goods line constructed during World War I (now the Inner West Light Rail), which connected Wardell Road and Darling Harbour. The Flour Mill has been owned by various companies over the years with Mungo Scott first establishing the mill. Goodman Fielder later increased its capacity with the construction of the iconic silos in the 1950s before Allied Mills took control until end of operations in 2009". Heritage Mungo Scott
The structures have now been transformed it into a residential and commercial precinct in Sydney’s Inner West.
This print, created in my Marrickville studio, measures 59 x 40 cms + has a generous border.
