Athol Beach is close to Bradley's Head, not far from the Taronga Park jetty in Mosman, Sydney. From there you can walk around the harbour's edge, via Chowder Bay to Balmoral Beach. A bush walk there earlier this year inspired this reduction print.
This image was created from a single piece of lino, the first colour being the light blue of the sky. I use a thin piece of plastic to mask off areas of the lino to avoid thick layers of ink and colour where I don't want it !
The photos show most of the layers in the print.
The print measures 21 x 29cms and is printed on Japanese Ho sho paper.
