Garfish on Repeat, Original work on paper, framed, 2025
"Garfish on Repeat" incorporates memories of mirrors, family fishing expeditions and my love of pattern. As a small child I absoloutely loved titling my mother's dressing table mirrors (there were 3 in all) and seeing multiple images of myself fading into the distance. It seemed like magic and I feel making art is magical too !
I have used a garfish linprint to create the background and the goblets in the foreground. There is a lot of pattern vying for attention.
I have included a progess pic of the image, one from my studio wall and one from my recent show at The Corner Gallery, Stanmore.
This piece is framed by Frameart in Stanmore, Sydney. I have included a few photographs including, a group image showing the series in situ at The Corner Gallery in May, 2025.
