I created this print as a commission in 2023. St Stephen's is a heritage listed church situated in Church street Newtown. It was designed by Edmund Blacket and built from 1871 -74. My print focuses on the trunk and branches of one of the beautiful fig trees in the grounds with a small church building shown in the background.
For those interested in early colonial history there are some fascinating
grave stones situated in the adjacent graveyard which shed light on the early days of Newtown. The image is printed on Hosho paper with Cranfeild Ink.
